It is an honor for me to be the first to write a few lines in the Guest Book of this wonderful singer... who I never miss a chance to hear, whether on a CD or in concert!
I only wish her career more progress and more recognition, and I deeply regret that her outstanding talent is not more famous in her own native country. Catia's voice is one of the things Brazil should be proud of, as she makes our music better known in all the countries she travels to.

By creating this website, I am happy to give a helping hand to Catia, an artist of a sensational talent. An artist who universe is full of originality, truly moving sensuality, sublime poetry, boundless energy, an animal force and an unprecedented perfection of vocal techniques. Her vast repertoire is remarkable for the authenticity of all the variations of Brazilian music that she pays tribute to, whether traditional roots, rebellious rhythms of Tropicalia, rap, pop or the incontestable Bossa Nova.
Accompanied by her devoted fellow musicians who are worth her own talent, she makes very concert perfect like a CD. And when she lands on stage spontaneously, she is probably the only singer in the world who can take any old worn-out jazz standard that we just can't hear anymore... and make you love it again with her fresh performance.
Her songs should be hits, and her voice should be a worldwide reference. I hope that my small contribution will help her reach that goal that she truly deserves. Your friends are with you, Catia!

Hi, I am Catia's daughter, and I just love to hear my mother sing! If I could give someone a note as the best singer... I would have given one to her! And it is not because she is my mother, but because she has a really exceptional voice. When she sings, the makes whole love, the whole emotion appear. Sometimes, she has problems... and she starts to sing, and forgets the problems, and everyone around her takes advantage of the love that she feels for the world. I am so proud of her! I love her so much!

Dear Catia!
Our country is a cradle of great musicians and singers. Your voice is so swinging and so unrestrained, it carries us so far away towards the country of palms and birds! Your talent makes us feel proud of having an embassador like you, one who brings such a warm message wherever she sings!
Thank you Catia, the friend of songs and emotions! I wish you success, success, and a thousand more times success, you have deserved it!

Hi Catia,
Just a word from your friend to say what a wonderful and charismatic person you are in life and in your music. With your natural ways, your great personality, and also this incredible sense of humour of yours, you really know, with that warm and swinging voice, how to convey your own feelings and emotions to us. Good luck to you ma chérie!

Catia is one of rare artists I have known who has a charisma, a perfectionism and a talent of the size of Brazil. She is not second to any artist of the Brazilian or international scene, and her talent is that of Elis Regina - boundless, eclectic and contagious.
Catia is a show itself!

Dear Catia,
I am so glad to have known you personally, and especially as a singer... every time I had an occasion to listen to you... not so many times, unfortunately. You have always created such a great atmosphere, the energy that you release is unforgettable! It is such a pleasure to hear your music and to watch you fill your songs with such your sensual rhythm. Thank you very much, please come back to Zagreb!

Catia, I only heard you sing a few times, but every time I could come to your show, I was really surprised! It felt like traveling on the wings of the lullabies of your tunes. You were born to be an artist, the kind of artist that brings her audience a great moment of joy and happiness throughout our so troubled modern life. And what a wonderful band is behind you, especially that Mascarenhas - I am truly a fan! Big hug to you and to the whole band!

Dear Catia:
I am a big fan of Brazilian music, especially bossa-nova and MPB. I highly admire you as a musician, singer, and interpreter. In Canada, where I live, your CDs are unavailable. I got one of your CDs (Saudade de Paris) accidentally not knowing anything about you and your music. What voice, taste, and arrangements! Your CD holds a treasured place in my listening room along with Tom Jobim, Gal Costa, Guinga, Elis Regina, Miucha, Joao Donato, and other greats! Keep in the same line. Please, let me know whenever you are in Canada.
Best regards, Alex (in Ottawa, Canada)

Cátia Werneck was a true revelation for me. I didn’t know about her until very recently because - like many other self-exiled and important Brazilian artists - she lives, elegantly, in Paris. Besides singing more than well and having one of the most delightful female voice timbres, she can also be considered a legitimately representative artist from Bossa Nova’s third (or forth?) generation.

Hi, last week we were on holiday in Paris, we visited lots of places. On Wednesday I had the idea to look up the thick Paris guide for jazz locations - so we eventually arrived at the basier sale in rue des Lombards - Catia Werneck? never heard of. But it was late, so we simply stayed. Then came the big surprise, a really good performance, a nicely tuned band, music which I didn't hear before. I was particularly amazed by the mixture of bossa nova style, which is inherently quiet and introverted, and the pressing rockjazz-like rhythm in some of the pieces. Holiday is over now, looking back I think this was THE highlight of the week. Thanks a lot for the nice evening!

Catia,
Your gorgeous lyrics are mind blowing to even the most affluent artists. 'Veroa No Ar' By Hajime Yoshiwaza (Ft.You) is inarguably one of the most 'sunnny good-time' records of any summer over the world.
Thank you and PLEASE do more tracks with my best friend Hajime Yoshiwaza. You two are are a special combination.
My blessing to all your family, friends and admirers around the world.
Peace!
Yuvie, xx
